All terrain wheel kit
The UPPAbaby All-Terrain Wheel Kit was designed to expand the stroller’s capability on challenging surfaces such as snow, cobblestone, and uneven terrain. Working within the constraints of the existing rim, wheel width, and geometry, the focus of the project was to improve traction and ride quality without altering the stroller’s core components. The result is a performance-driven accessory that enhances stability and comfort while maintaining full compatibility with the Vista, Vista V2, and Vista V3 strollers.
Designed for Challenging Terrain
The all-terrain wheels were developed to improve stroller performance on surfaces like snow, cobblestone, and uneven paths. Deep, sculpted grooves increase traction and control, helping the stroller maintain stability across a wider range of outdoor conditions.
A raised center strip helps balance grip with rolling comfort, reducing vibration on harder surfaces. This combination allows the stroller to navigate rougher environments while maintaining a smoother ride for both parent and child.
A Tread Pattern True to Brand
Beyond performance, the tread design was also an opportunity to create a pattern that felt distinctly UPPAbaby. The pattern was carefully developed to align with the brand’s clean and modern design language, allowing the wheels to introduce a more rugged visual character while still feeling cohesive with the overall stroller system. Ultimately, this ensured the accessory reads as an integrated part of the product rather than an aftermarket addition.
